VARSITY STAFF 

Travis Blevins   Travis Blevins, Varsity Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator - Offensive Backs

Travis is an alumnus of North Callaway High School and was an All-State performer for the Thunderbirds in 1992. He played Quarterback for the Indians of Southeast Missouri State University and later earned a MA in Administration from William Woods University. Coach Blevins returned to the Thunderbirds football program to coach on the varsity staff as Defensive Coordinator. He then coached at Jefferson City where he was Offensive Coordinator. Travis and his wife, Nicky, have four children; a daughter Logan that is 9, a son Drew that is 7, a daughter Riley that is 5, and son Jake that is 2.
 
       
John Heath   John Heath, Defensive Coordinator - Inside Linebackers

John is a native of St. Louis and graduated from Affton High School. He is an Alumnus of University of Missouri-St. Louis. John received his Masters in Computer Education from Fontbonne University. He is beginning his twelfth year in Parkway and has been a Patriot football coach since 1999. Prior to joining the Patriots he coached at Lutheran South for five years. His wife, Michelle is a reading specialist at Carman Trails Elementary School.. John and Michelle are the proud parents of daughters Katie and Kelsey.
 
       
    
Dan Bredenkoetter   Dan Bredenkoetter, Offensive Line - JV Head Coach

Dan is St. Louis born and raised. He attended DeSmet where he was a two time all conference and all district defensive end. After high school Dan attended Truman State where he was a two year starter at defensive end and earned his bachelors in mathematics. Dan is entering his 6th year as a math teacher at Parkway South. Prior to coming to South, he spent two years as the varsity offensive and defensive line coach for DeSmet, where they won a state title in 2006.

 
       
Ali Ghasedi   Ali Ghasedi, Defensive Line Coach  

Ali coaches the varsity defensive line and is the defensive coordinator for the JV team.  He graduated from UMSL in 2005 and is finishing his master’s degree in sport facility management this fall.  He graduated from Parkway South in 1999 and was a member of the Patriots football team.  This season is Ali’s eighth year coaching football. 


 
       
  
Drew Jennings   Drew Jennings, Wide Receiver Coach

Drew Graduated from Parkway West in 1995, where he was captain of the varsity football team. Drew has taught 9 years at Parkway South and he coached his first six years, at all three levels of the football program. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Secondary Education, and in 2008 he received a MA degree in History from UMSL. His wife Krissy and he are proud parents of Henry (almost 2) and are expecting a baby girl this summer.
 
       
  
Jeremy Houchins   Jeremy Houchins, Outside Linebackers Coach

Jeremy has lived all over the state of Missouri including Liberty, Cuba, Jackson, and Springfield. He played fullback, middle linebacker, tight end, tackle, and defensive end at Cuba. He went to Missouri State University and earned a BS in Physical Education and played club baseball. After graduating, he came back to Missouri State and was a graduate assistant teaching physical education classes and racquetball classes while earning an MA in Sports Administration and an MA in Physical Education. He has taught at Southwest Middle School since the 2009-2010 school year. He coached in Springfield, MO for 3 years at Springfield Catholic coaching varsity defensive line and offensive line. Jeremy and his wife Jamie have a newborn daughter, Leah, that was born on June 3, 2011.
 
       
    
Patrick Wallace   Pat Wallace, Secondary Coach

Pat graduated from Parkway South High School in 2007 where he played Quarterback and was a team captain. He attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he was a three year letter winner at Quarterback and Safety on the Varsity football team. He finished his junior and senior year at Coe with a combined team winning record of 19-4 and two consecutive playoff appearances, which is the best in school history. Pat got his B.A. degree in History and Secondary Education and is currently a 7th Grade World History teacher at Parkway South Middle School.


 
       
 
Tom Gilreath   Tom Gilreath, Secondary Coach

Tom Gilreath is an Alabama export to Missouri.  Prior to relocating to the show-me state, Tom received his Bachelors in Political Science and his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide Roll!).  Tom also coached youth football in Alabama before moving to Missouri where he coached the Parkway South Junior Patriots more than ten years.  He has been involved with the varsity program in some capacity for seven years.  He is proud to be a Patriot coach!  Tom's wife is Kristin, a social worker for the Hazelwood School district.  He has two beautiful children:  daughter, Kenna, and son, Brody.

 
       
         

Freshman STAFF 

 
Joe Rosewell   Joe Rosewell, Freshman Head Coach

Joe graduated from Parkway North in 1983.  He was an all conference DB there.  He walked on at MIZZOU as a defensive back.  Coach Rosewell earned a BA in history from the University of MO – St. Louis, and then a MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Washington – Seattle.  Joe began coaching at Parkway North in 1994, and was the Special Teams Coordinator there for 3 years.  He then came to South and was the Defensive Coordinator from 1999-2004.  Joe is also the Head Track and Field Coach here at South.  Joe has been teaching at South for nine years in the Social Studies department. Joe is married to Karen and they have two daughters, Olivia 10 and Sophia 5.


 
       
 
Ronnie Smith   Ronnie Smith, WR/DB Coach

Ronnie is a Technology Education teacher at Parkway South Middle. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University where he played as a Defensive Back on the same team with Coach Blevins. Coach Smith had a brief stint with the Calgary Stampeders (CFL), and played two seasons of Arena Football with the Dayton Skyhawks (IFL) and the Carolina Rhinos (AFL). Ronnie also spent a season as an Assistant Coach at Southern Arkansas University. He is originally from Orlando, Florida, and now resides in Florissant with his wife, Heather, and their children, Sophie, Camryn and Reed.


 
       
 
Alex Wu   Alex Wu, O/D Line Coach

Alex graduated from John Burroughs where he played offensive and defensive line and middle linebacker.  He went on to graduate from Boston College with degrees in Math, Secondary Education and Philosophy.  Alex is in his fifth year at Parkway South and seventh year as a teacher.  This will be his fourth year as a football coach.


 
       
 
Ryan Evers   Ryan Evers, O/D Backs Coach

Ryan graduated from Parkway South in 2004 where he lettered in football and baseball.  He attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri where he played quarterback for four years.   Ryan is entering his third year teaching math and coaching football at Parkway South.
